STAR TV’s silence makes noise

To the best of my knowledge, no journalist in the MSM or in the blogosphere raised the issue on STAR TV’s silence on Peter Mukerjea till I blogged about it yesterday.
This morning, I visit exchange4media and find a startlingly similar story on the same issue.
Is it coincidence? Or, should I be flattered?

Coincidences. They happen. Especially when it's a story lot of people are trying to crack and some know what's on (some don't); but no one can write about it for reasons best known to them.

Dear Anant,
I do visit your blog every now and then to enjoy the sheer intellectual and maverick energy that you bring to it.

Today, I happened to log in after almost three weeks, and was surprised by a tiny post from you mentioning the startlingly similar in exchange4media on Peter Mukerjea.

Well, the story was filed at my behest and I had no clue that you had written about Peter the previous day.

Second, did you miss the focus of our story? It was more to do with the speculation about paradropping a STAR Hong Kong heavyweight on to STAR India.

The one para on Peter was incidental -- or as journalists love to say, to pad up the story.

I suppsse this one time you should not be flattered.

Cheers!
